Music LAB (the "Service") is a product operated by EpicCode ("EpicCode", "we", "our", or "us").

When you register for Music LAB, we may collect personal information such as your name, email address, company or label name, and billing information. This data is used to identify you within the Application, provide access to the Service, and communicate service-related information (including notifications and invoices).

We do not sell, rent, or commercially exploit your personal data. We do not use your name, artist name, label name, or organization for marketing or promotional purposes without your explicit consent.

All data related to you, your organization, and your musical content is treated as private. Access is strictly limited to users authorized by you or your team.

2. Types of Data Collected

Music LAB may collect and process the following categories of data:

  • Account Data: name, email address, organization or label name, billing details
  • Music Content: audio files, lyrics, artwork, and other assets uploaded by you
  • Metadata: artist and contributor information, credits, ISRCs, release details, AI provenance and disclosure metadata
  • Technical Data: IP address, device and browser information, system logs, and usage data
3. AI and Automated Processing

Music LAB may use artificial intelligence and automated processing to provide services such as:

  • Audio analysis and music identification
  • Content curation and classification
  • AI provenance, traceability, and disclosure
  • Metadata validation and enrichment

Music LAB does not use user-submitted content to train AI models unless you explicitly authorize such use through a written agreement or an opt-in mechanism within the Service.

4. Third-Party Services

To operate and deliver the Service, Music LAB may integrate with trusted third-party providers, including but not limited to:

  • Digital Service Providers (DSPs)
  • Audio recognition and fingerprinting services
  • Cloud infrastructure, storage, analytics, and security providers

These third parties receive only the minimum data required to perform their services and are contractually obligated to protect your information.

5. Data Security and Encryption

All data transmitted between your browser and Music LAB servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS. Backups are encrypted at rest.

Certain operational data may not be encrypted within databases to ensure performance and reliability; however, access is strictly restricted to authorized systems and personnel.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Data submitted to Music LAB is retained only as long as necessary to provide the Service, fulfill contractual obligations, and comply with legal, licensing, and royalty reporting requirements.

You may request permanent deletion of your personal data by contacting info@musiclab.ai. Certain data may be retained where legally required or necessary for audit, compliance, or financial reporting purposes.

8. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

Music LAB is designed to comply with applicable data protection regulations, including GDPR (European Union) and CCPA/CPRA (California).

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Request correction or updating of your data
  • Request deletion of your personal data
